Authentic Design
The Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet is incredibly detailed, resembling Optimus Prime right down to the grooves on his forehead plate. Constructed from durable plastic and finished in vivid colors, this helmet is virtually indistinguishable from the Optimus Prime in the movie. If your child isn't using it as a toy, you could easily put it out as a display piece. The helmet also features easy-to-adjust straps, which fit the helmet comfortably over your child's head.

Transform Your Voice
This helmet uses an incredible voice modulator system to transform your young hero's voice and make it sound just like Optimus Prime's. It doesn't matter whether you're a little kid or a full-grown adult -- when you speak through the microphone, your voice will instantly be changed into the rich baritone of the Autobots commander. In addition to changing its wearer's voice, the helmet also features sound effects and has five different voice clips from the movie. Unforgettable lines such as "I am Optimus Prime" can be played at the touch of a button, making this the ideal role-playing toy.

About Transformers
The Transformers began as a Hasbro toy line back in 1983, featuring toy vehicles that could transform into robots. The toys soon inspired an entire universe of fictional story lines, pitting the two factions of Transformers -- the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons -- against one another. A live-action movie based on the Transformers was released in 2007 and has continued the toy line's extreme popularity. With toys such as the Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet, kids can bring home the struggle between the Autobots and Decepticons.

"Autobots Transform and Roll Out"

I give this product 5 stars across the board. There are two versions of this helmet one that has Peter Cullins voice "the true Optimus Prime voice" and the other one with Gary Chalk I beleive who does the voice of Optimus Primal in Beast Wars. You can tell be the phrases next to the "Try Me", Peter Cullins "The Real Prime" voice will say "Real Movie Voice" and Gary Chalks' will say "Battle Phrases"

Great For Adults Also

I am 43 years old and bought this for a Christmas present for my 4 year old. It arrived at the office today and I just had to open it to check it out and make sure there were batteries in it. This thing is awesome. I'm an officer and just could not resist putting the helmet on walking around my office making statements like "Halt, who goes there" and "get down on the ground with your hands behind your back". My peers of course told me to grow up, but they laughed and it was all in good fun as they called me Robocop.

I think I made more sales for amazon today in my office alone.

I know if I had this much fun with it my 4 year old should have a grand time. It is a large helmet that will fit an adult, but there are adjustable straps that should fit a child with no problem. It lacks padding inside and could be dangerous for a young child if the straps are not adjusted correctly.

It is made of fairly strong plastic that has some angles inside the helmet. I will most likely add some padding from an old bicycle helmet. Knowing my child, he will get in some fictitious battle with his sister and she will probably conk him over the head (playing) and he might get hurt. You may have to supervise a young child while they wear this. Thats the only con I see with this. It is rec commended for ages 5+, but even for ages 5-10 this product can be potentially dangerous due to lack of padding inside.

Overall, this is a well built product that should provide hours of fun. I purchased the Transformers DVD as well so my child can watch the move and get into the character. I think I will have more fun with this than he will, such is the life of a big kid ;)
Fun But Unnerves my 3.5 year old

A well constructed and fun item. I got one for my 8 year old nephew and liked it so much I got one for my daughter. I often justify my purchases by saying it was for "the baby." Frankly, many of the baby's toys get played with by me! The toy is well made and I know she will grow into it...as for me...I like having it around to make guests wonder a bit.

This helmet/mask is really cool! We bought it for our 4 year old grandson (who just loves the Transformers), and we all played with it!! There are 3 buttons on the side--2 of them have pre recorded messages. The 3rd button actually changes your voice & makes it sound like Optimus Prime!
Yeah its great but...

I really liked and enjoyed this one since i got the package i had the child smile on my face, but after i knew that was two versions of this i got really sad because i would really wanted to have the Peter Cullen version cause it really sounds like Optimus Prime you know what i mean, so... i really enjoy it but Cullen's version sounds really better.
